My career as a Speech & Language Pathologist began in the Florida Keys and continued in Northern California for over 30 years. My husband and I recently moved up to Hood River to pursue our passion for the Great Outdoors – hiking, fishing, skiing and maybe the ‘boards’ one of these days. Fortunately, our 23 year old son who works in Southern California, is eager to spend more time up here when he can!
My formal training occurred at Western Carolina University and the University of Florida emphasizing Early Childhood Development and Disorders, parent training and the importance of collaboration with other health related professionals.
Most of my work experience has been dedicated to helping young children and their families who were enrolled in special ed programs due to developmental delays, autism, childhood apraxia of speech and hearing loss.
